What we keep, and what we don't.
Last updated 15 September 2026
Reelforge turns your footage into short videos you download. To do that we have to hold your footage and your account for a while. This page says exactly what we hold, why, and how to get rid of it. It is written to be read.
What we collect
- Your account. An email address and a password. The password is stored as a salted hash — we cannot see it and cannot send it back to you.
- Your footage. The clips, music and opening lines you upload, and the videos we render from them.
- Your batches. A record of each batch you make — when, how many videos, which settings — and the credits it used.
- View counts you type in. If you tell the winner board how a video did, we keep the number you typed. We never fetch it ourselves.
- Billing. If you subscribe, Stripe handles payment. We store the customer and subscription IDs Stripe gives us and a ledger of credits. We never see or store your card number.
- The waitlist. If you leave an email to get early access, we keep that email and when you left it.
That is the list. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tracker on this site or in the product.
What we do with it
One thing: make your videos and let you download them. Your footage is used to render your batches and for nothing else. We do not train models on it, we do not show it to other customers, and we do not sell or share it with anyone.
Your email is used to sign you in, to send receipts if you subscribe, and — for the waitlist — to send one message when Reelforge opens.
What we never do
Reelforge does not connect to your Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or any other account. We never ask for those logins, never post on your behalf, and never read your analytics. You download your videos; what happens after that is yours.
Where it lives
- Footage and rendered videos are stored on Amazon Web Services (S3), in a folder that belongs only to your account. Rendering runs on AWS as well.
- Download links are signed and expire after an hour. Reload the page for fresh ones.
- Accounts, batches and the credit ledger are stored on the server that runs the product.
- Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe's privacy policy.
Cookies
One cookie, to keep you signed in. It is set when you sign in and cleared when you sign out. Your light/dark preference is remembered in your browser's own storage and never leaves your device. Nothing else.
How long we keep it
As long as your account is open. When you close it, we delete your account, your ledger, and every file in your folder — footage and rendered videos both — within 30 days. Stripe keeps its own records of payments for as long as the law requires it to.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to send you everything we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email [contact email] from the address on your account and we will do it within 30 days. You can also stop your subscription at any time from Plan → Manage billing inside the product.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we will say so at the top and email account holders before it takes effect.
